BUY Open Dirac-Majorana neutrino type conversion induced by an oscillating scalar dark matter Some properties of a neutrino may differ significantly depending on whether it is Dirac or Majorana type. The type is determined by the relative size of Dirac and Majorana masses, which may vary if they arise from an oscillating scalar dark matter. BUY Open Calculation of the Hubble Constant, the Minimum Mass, and the Proton Charge Radius Using the Dirac’s Hypothesis on the Ratio of the Electrostatic Force to the Gravitational Force This publication suggests that some physical values could be calculated using the Dirac’s hypothesis on the observed ratio of the electrostatic force to the gravitational force. The calculated value of the Hubble constant is H ≈ 72.013 km s‑1 Mpc‑1 and that of the minimum mass, Mmin ≈ 1.720 6 × 10‑68 kg. Recent observations suggest that the proton charge radius could also be calculated using an additional but related assumption: rp ≈ 0.826 4 fm. BUY Open Violation of γ in Brans-Dicke gravity The Brans Class I solution in Brans-Dicke gravity is a staple in the study of gravitational theories beyond General Relativity. Discovered in 1961, it describes the exterior vacuum of a spherical Brans-Dicke star and is characterized by two adjustable parameters. Surprisingly, the relationship between these parameters and the properties of the star has not been rigorously established. In this Proceeding, we bridge this gap by deriving the complete exterior solution of Brans Class I, expressed in terms of the total energy and total pressure of the spherisymmetric gravity source. BUY Open Tunable structure-activity correlations of molybdenum dichalcogenides (MoX2; X=S, Se, Te) electrocatalysts via hydrothermal methods: insight into optimizing the electrocatalytic performance for hydrogen generation Hydrogen Evolution Reaction (HER) has always gained wide attention as one of the eco-friendly and sustainable pathways for efficient hydrogen generation and storage; also, two-dimensional molybdenum dichalcogenide (MoX2, where X stands for S, Se, Te) BUY Open X-ray polarization properties of partially ionized equatorial obscurers around accreting compact objects We present the expected X-ray polarization signal resulting from distant reprocessing material around black holes. Using a central isotropic power-law emission at the center of the simulated model, we add distant equatorial and axially symmetric media that are covering the central accreting sources. We include partial ionization and partial transparency effects, and the impact of various polarization and steepness of the primary radiation spectrum. The results are obtained with the Monte Carlo code STOKES that considers both line and continuum processes and computes the effects of scattering and absorption inside static homogenous wedge-shaped and elliptical toroidal structures, varying in relative size, composition and distance to the source. We provide first order estimates for parsec-scale reprocessing in Compton-thin and Compton-thick active galactic nuclei, as well as winds around accreting stellar-mass compact objects. The resulting polarization can reach tens of % with either parallel or perpendicular orientation with respect to the axis of symmetry, BUY Open Unravelling multi-temperature dust populations in the dwarf galaxy Holmberg II Holmberg II – a dwarf galaxy in the nearby M81 group – is a very informative source of distribution of gas and dust in the interstellar discs. High-resolution observations in the infrared (IR) allows us to distinguish isolated star-forming regions, photodissociation (PDR) and HII regions, remnants of supernovae (SNe) explosions and, as such, can provide information about more relevant physical processes. In this paper we analyse dust emission in the wavelength range 4.5 to 160 𝜇m using the data from IR space observatories at 27 different locations across the galaxy. We observe that the derived spectra can be represented by multiple dust populations with different temperatures, which are found to be independent of their locations in the galaxy. By comparing the dust temperatures with the far ultraviolet (FUV) intensities observed by the UVIT instrument onboard AstroSat, we find that for locations showing a 100 𝜇m peak, the temperature of cold (20 to 30 K) dust grains show a dependence on the FUV intensities, while such a dependence is not observed for the other locations. We believe that the approach described here can be a good tool in revealing different dust populations in other nearby galaxies with available high spatial resolution data. BUY Open STeP-CiM: Strain-enabled Ternary Precision Computation-in-Memory based on Non-Volatile 2D Piezoelectric Transistors We propose 2D Piezoelectric FET (PeFET) based compute-enabled non-volatile memory for ternary deep neural networks (DNNs). PeFETs hinge on ferroelectricity for bit storage and piezoelectricity for bit sensing, exhibiting inherently amenable features for computation-in-memory of dot products of weights and inputs in the signed ternary regime. PeFETs consist of a material with ferroelectric and piezoelectric properties coupled with Transition Metal Dichalcogenide channel. We utilize (a) ferroelectricity to store binary bits (0/1) in the form of polarization (-P/+P) and (b) polarization dependent piezoelectricity to read the stored state by means of strain-induced bandgap change in Transition Metal Dichalcogenide channel. The unique read mechanism of PeFETs enables us to expand the traditional association of +P (-P) with low (high) resistance states to their dual high (low) resistance depending on read voltage. Specifically, we demonstrate that +P (-P) stored in PeFETs can be dynamically configured in (a) a low (high) resistance state for positive read voltages and (b) their dual high (low) resistance states for negative read voltages, without afflicting a read disturb. Such a feature, which we name as Polarization Preserved Piezoelectric Effect Reversal with Dual Voltage Polarity (PiER), is unique to PeFETs and has not been shown in hitherto explored memories. We leverage PiER to propose a Strain-enabled Ternary Precision Computation-in-Memory (STeP-CiM) cell with capabilities of computing the scalar product of the stored weight and input, both of which are represented with signed ternary precision. Further, using multi word-line assertion of STeP-CiM cells, we achieve massively parallel computation of dot products of signed ternary inputs and weights. Our array level analysis shows 91% lower delay and improvements of 15% and 91% in energy for in-memory multiply-and-accumulate operations compared to near-memory design approaches based on 2D FET based SRAM and PeFET respectively. We also analyze the system-level implications of STeP-CiM by deploying it in a ternary DNN accelerator. STeP-CiM exhibits 6.11× - 8.91× average improvement in performance and 3.2× average improvement in energy over SRAM based near-memory design. We also compare STeP-CiM to near-memory design based on PeFETs showing 5.67× - 6.13× average performance improvement and 6.07× average energy savings. BUY Open New method to revisit the gravitational lensing analysis of the Bullet Cluster using radio waves Gravitational lensing studies of the Bullet Cluster suggested convincingly in favour of the existence of dark matter. However, it was performed without the knowledge of the original orientation of each galaxy before gravitational lensing. A potential improvement to this issue lies in the measurement of the original orientation from the polarization direction of radio waves emitted from each galaxy. In this context, Francfort et al. derived a formula that can utilize the information about the original orientation of each galaxy to obtain what is called shear. However, we demonstrate that shear in their formula should be replaced by reduced shear when the change in sizes of images of galaxies is taken into account. As the previous gravitational lensing analysis of the Bullet Cluster used reduced shear, we suggest applying our improved formula directly for the reanalysis once we obtain the polarization direction of radio waves. In particular, we show that our new formula can yield a more accurate analysis than the previous one, if the polarization direction can be measured more precisely than 10◦. Design, Construction, and Testing of Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) charge controller for Photovoltaic (PV) power generation Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) charge controller is designed for using an easy and effective way to charge a 12v battery and a laptop charger of 19v simultaneously through the principle of the bulk-boost converter. This research work is suitable for 150W solar panels, as the Maximum Power Point (MPP) of Photovoltaic (PV) power generation systems changes with variation in atmospheric conduction, an important consideration in the research work is efficient of PV systems is to track the MPP correctly. It enhances battery life by providing higher efficiency to it. The efficiency of the research work was calculated from the power dissipated and also calculate the point at which the battery extracts maximum power from the PV module. As the work was tested the voltage and current were obtained which was used to plot the voltage-current and voltage-power characteristics curve. A lot of works have been published on this topic, but none has researched MPPT that will charge both 12v battery and 19v laptop charger imultaneously. Also, only a few of them show the theoretical and experimental relationship between MPPT and PWM charge controller the output power was calculated theoretically to be 112W while, experimentally we obtained it as 111W. mbagwujohnpaulchiagoziem@gmail.com Acceptance date - Thu, Aug 6, 2020 8:55 AM Auto withdraw date 21/09/2020 Buffer time- 46 days. The generated low-pressure Acetylene is used with an oxygen cylinder extensively by Gas welders in Chhattisgarh state for oxy acetylene welding. This low-pressure oxy acetylene welding is used mostly in automobile body repairing work. PTL Open Access Information and Policy All articles published by PTL are made immediately available worldwide under an open-access license. This means: Everyone has free and unlimited access to the full-text of all articles published in PTL journals; Everyone is free to re-use the published material if proper accreditation/citation of the original publication is given ; An open access publication is supported by the authors' institutes or research funding agencies by payment of a comparatively low Article Processing Charge (APC) for accepted articles. Terms of reuse External Open Access Resources PTL is a RoMEO green publisher — RoMEO is a database of Publishers' copyright and self-archiving policies hosted by the University of Nottingham Those who are new to the concept of open access might find the following websites or 'Open Access 101' video informative: Wikipedia article on 'Open Access' Peter Suber's 'Open Access Overview' Information Platform Open Access [in English , in German ] SHERPA's 'Authors and Open Access' What is open access? Open access advantages. In accordance with major definitions of open access in the scientific literature (namely the Budapest, Berlin, and Bethesda declarations), PTL defines open access by the following conditions: peer-reviewed literature is freely available without subscription or price barriers, literature is immediately released in open access format (no embargo period), and published material can be re-used without obtaining permission as long as a correct citation to the original publication is given. PTL journals started to publish articles under the Creative Commons Attribution License and using the latest version of the CC-BY license, which grants authors the most extensive rights. This means that all articles published in PTL journals, including data, graphics, and supplements, can be linked from external sources, scanned by search engines, re-used by text mining applications or websites, blogs, etc. free of charge under the sole condition of proper accreditation of the source and original publisher. PTL believes that open access publishing fosters the exchange of research results amongst scientists from different disciplines, thus facilitating interdisciplinary research. Open access publishing also provides access to research results to researchers worldwide, including those from developing countries, and to an interested general public. Although PTL publishes all of its journals under the open access model, we believe that open access is an enriching part of the scholarly communication process that can and should co-exist with other forms of communication and publication, such as society-based publishing and conferencing activities. Important Note: some articles (especially Reviews) may contain figures, tables or text taken from other publications, for which PTL does not hold the copyright or the right to re-license the published material. Please note that you s hould inquire with the original copyright holder (usually the original publisher or authors), whether or not this material can be re-used. The APC list is displaying the complete publication cost for the manuscripts in the respective journals in the partial-open access policy. If the authors feel the requirement to publish their content, article, letter, research, or review under the full open-access, they need to bare an extra charge of USD ($) 1000 to publish in an open-access database else by default the publication will be under the Locked content. The readers need to purchase the content before they read. The open-access content increases the citation rate and popularity on the indexing database. The High Availability and Visibility of our open access articles is guaranteed through the free and unlimited accessibility of the publication over the Internet. The Higher Citation Impact of open access articles results from their high publicity and availability. Open access publications are demonstrably more frequently cited. Faster Publication in PTLs open access journals is achieved by online-only availability. Accepted articles are typically published online more rapidly in PTL journals than those of traditional, subscription-based and printed journals.

The mysterious electron is postulated to co The True Nature of Matter (A new theory about the atomic structure of the electron and Dark Matter) Robert A. Smith 7 Taylor Way, Warwick Gates, Warwick CV34 7BJ This paper puts forward a new theoretical model for the Real Electron and postulates where Dark Matter is located and why it has remained hidden from view. The mysterious electron is postulated to comprise of three parts. Two are identical and have the properties that we associate with a normal electron as it is known today. The third part though is a very exotic particle from the Dark Matter realm that has been called a Dark Matter Electron. The Dark Matter Electron is a positively charged electron but with a negative mass equal in magnitude to a classical electron. This is equivalent to a Positron with negative mass. Thus, the overall mass and charge of the new Real Electron remain unchanged. The existence of a new family of Dark Matter particles is then discussed. One example considered in this paper is a Dark Matter Real Electron containing two Dark Matter Electrons and one Normal Electron. Such a Dark Matter Real Electron thus has an overall negative mass. The gravitational attractions and gravitational repulsions between two Real Electrons are considered and these suggest an increased overall gravitational attraction between the two of six times. In a similar comparison, the net gravitational attraction between a Real Electron and a Dark Matter Real Electron is shown to be zero. The overall mass of the universe is thus postulated to equal zero, which may help to explain the existence of the universe. The concept of another family of negative mass atomic particles is also considered. Finally, explanations of Electron Spin and Young’s Slit Experiment are considered.
